TVIEW: Network Management & Diagnostic Software

Overview

Trio’s TVIEW™ Network Management and Remote Diagnostic software is implemented as an optional facility on the E, M & D Series digital wireless data modems and E & D Series base stations.

The computer which hosts the TVIEW+ server software is normally connected via the separate 'System' port in E & M Series products or PORT B in D Series products. Ethernet connectivity is also optionally available at base stations.

When operating with M series data radio modems, access to local diagnostics is available without interruption to the user application. Remote diagnostics is available from the nearest base station for commissioning and troubleshooting purposes and in some cases may also be accessed while the primary user data stream is running - please consult your nearest Trio System Specialist for details.

With E & D Series products, the remote diagnostic information is carried in a secondary data stream is totally independent of the primary user data stream. This is made possible by employing the unique Trio MultiStream™ and ChannelShare™ features in the E & D Series. Using Trio MultiStream™ and ChannelShare™, remote diagnostics access is possible from any Trio E or D

TVIEW+ features when used with E & D Series Products:

• Full SCADA style software features; database, statistics, trending, bar graphs, networking etc.
• Operates transparent to the primary user application (non-intrusive)
• Able to interrogate and display important operating parameters of each radio modem
• Provides performance data of any unit - transmitter power, received signal strength, DC volts, temperature, frequency error, etc.
• Allows statistical Bit Error Rate (BER) performance testing of any unit
• Multiple-user client-server capabilities
• Provides powerful network tools such as channel occupancy statistics, good frames received, bad frames received, packet error rate
• Can be set to background poll the radio system for continuous system monitoring & logging
• Provides full time/date stamped alarm logging/reporting, which is exportable to other database programs

• ODBC Compliant for user access to diagnostic database
